In order to connect the standard video interfaces such as DisplayPort (DP), HDMI/DVI and analog VGA to LCD displays, special converter boards, the so-called LCD controller boards, are required. Our modules from the d.scale family offer the optimum solution for a wide range of applications. In addition to the complete controller boards, we are the only company to offer the entire functionality as system-on-modules, which enables integration into the target system. To adapt the firmware to your display, we provide a comprehensive and easy-to-use software toolbox that also enables simple, fast and standard-compliant programming of the hardware.

Firmware customization & production
The technology to use USB for video transmission from the PC to the display was introduced in 2006 by the company DisplayLink. Since then, the performance of this technology has been continuously improved and now enables multiple 4K monitors to be controlled via USB3. With the Windows 10 Anniversary Update 2016, Microsoft introduced native DisplayLink USB graphics support, which is based on the new interface for USB displays. DisplayLink technology uses a virtual graphics card in the form of a driver on the host side and a SOC on the display side. Our d.screen-USB controller board family uses DisplayLink technology and enables the simple connection of displays and other USB peripherals via a single USB2 or USB3 connection.
